The idea that Natives came across the Baring Straights has been challenged as of lately. Some scientists have questioned how animals could have crossed the land bridge when the land was covered with ice. Without the grass, the animals would not have traveled that far. If animals did not go, humans could not have followed them. Some new ideas have been floated around like maybe they came from Europe. Previously it was believed that Europeans did not have the type of ship technology to travel across the ocean that early in history. Yet the new idea was they skirted the ice shelves with their ships and could go ashore and gather water. In the end, what I am starting to believe is that ancestors of Native Americans possibly came from different places.
