Class Notes

Its election day, the day where we are supposed to celebrate living in a democracy.  However, this year my fear is that will be the most violent day since 9/11.  I hope those living in cities have some precautions in place in case you need to hunker down for a few days.  Make sure you vote, but also take care of yourselves.

Also note we may not know the winner right away.  Historically this is not new.  There have been two elections that have gone to Congress to decide, 1800 and 1824, and two that needed the courts to make some decisions, 1876 and 2000.  All of these were able to work out the winner peacefully and we moved on, lets hope the same for this year.
